Developed by Leslie Josel, award-winning ADHD Student Coach with over 23 years in the industry and taught by one of our trained Executive Functioning coaches, these core classes are built on the philosophy that organizing, time management and study skills are the key to success in school and in life! And, like any muscle in the body, strengthening these “muscles” requires proper exercise techniques, the correct equipment, and the right personal trainer!

As your student’s “personal trainer”, one of our trained coaches will teach them time management techniques, study strategies, how to manage distractions, conquering procrastination techniques, REAL life skills not taught in school, why the mind/body connection is critical to school and life success and so much more.

Please note that Boot Camp classes are very skill driven. Our goal at the end of Boot Camp is for your student to have an arsenal of tools to use for school and life. But like any skill, to get the full benefit, they must be practiced often.

 

Get to Know Our Classes

Class 1: Time Management Brain Training - Planning, Scheduling & Power Tools

The brain is a muscle, and time management is its training ground. Here's where we build the foundation — combining the best of old-school planning with today's most powerful digital tools. You'll start by choosing the right planner — physical or digital — and learn how to map out both your school and personal commitments so nothing falls through the cracks. We'll show you how to identify your optimal work time and, just as importantly, how to reserve downtime with intention. From there, we'll find the right tools to support your time management goals and teach you how to use responsible A.I. apps to cut through the noise and stay focused. Because when your planning and organizing muscles are strong, your working memory gets the workout it needs.

Class 2: Stretch & Strengthen - Notetaking & Active Recall

Forget passive. We're going active. We'll move way beyond scribbling notes you'll never look at again and teach you the various strategies for capturing information effectively — because not all notetaking is created equal. From there, we'll show you how to actively engage with your notes in ways that promote understanding, not just recognition. We'll introduce you to tools like NotebookLM so you can upload your material and interact with it in real time. And we'll show you exactly how A.I. can support active recall so studying becomes something you do continuously, not in a panicked all-nighter cram session. The result? Learning that sticks.

Class 3: Shape Your Study Systems & Project Planning

It's all in the plan — and the system behind it. We'll show you how to study with purpose and teach you which study skills to use and when — because pulling out the wrong tool at the wrong time is just wasted effort. You'll learn how to transform your notes into killer study guides, smart practice questions, and clear learning pathways, and understand how scaffolding supports healthy study habits and project planning, so nothing ever sneaks up on you again. We'll also train you to use A.I. for the heavy lifting — generating practice material, organizing ideas, mapping out projects — while keeping your brain in the driver's seat. Using A.I. with intention, accuracy, and integrity will build skill. And like any muscle, the more you work it, the stronger it gets.

Class 4: Kick Procrastination to the Curb - From Overwhelm to Action

Is your willpower weak and your struggle to stay motivated preventing you from getting down to business? Time to build attention, willpower, and prevention skills. We'll show you how to "feel the future" and set up accountability practices so you can activate like a champ. We'll build awareness around your procrastination, dig into the psychology behind why it happens, and give you the skills to manage and overcome it. How to set up your environment so it shares your motivation load will also be tackled. Real solutions and strategies to help you initiate, stay focused, and follow through — that's what this class delivers.

Class 5: Shred the Overwhelm - Emotional Regulation & Removing Internal Obstacles

Here's the truth: success isn't just about strategy — it's about mindset and emotional control. This is the backbone module of Boot Camp, and it touches everything.  We'll teach you how to set up routines and rituals and create motivating accountability practices to warm up and sustain your brain. You'll learn to recognize how your mood impacts your motivation, identify the signs of stress and avoidance before they derail your whole day, and how to use cognitive reframing to flip the script when your brain is working against you. How to recognize when decision fatigue and feeling stuck have flooded your brain — and what to do to prevent it — will also be tackled. Why you're not lazy, but just have a hard time sustaining effort, will be worked on, too. 

Class 6: Reset & Rebalance - Devices, Dopamine & Taking Back Control

Your devices aren't neutral — and in this class, we get real about that. We'll start with you — helping you understand how your devices impact you specifically, because this isn't one-size-fits-all. From there, we'll dig into how social media messes with your mood, fuels comparison, and chips away at your self-worth, and the massive role dopamine plays in screen dependence, habit formation, and your ability to pay attention. Then we get practical: real strategies to maintain focus, eliminate distractions, and create balance so you're in control of your screen time — not the other way around. And yes, we'll show you how to use A.I. intentionally to support a healthier digital relationship, too. This is a full training session on taking back your attention, your energy, and your emotional well-being.

Key Boot Camp Info

  • All classes are 45 minutes long.

  • For PEAK PERFORMANCE: Your student will have 6 45-minute classes.

  • For BASIC TRAINING: Your student will have 3 45-minute classes.

  • JumpStart Strategy session is 30 minutes long.

  • Maintenance Management session is 30 minutes long and scheduled a month after the last Boot Camp session.

  • Parent Check-in Call is 20 minutes.

  • All classes are recorded on Zoom and shared privately.

  • All classes must be used within 3 months of the date of sign-up.

  • All classes are taught on a one-on-one basis and customized to your student’s specific needs.

  • All students who sign up for the PEAK PERFORMANCE package receive a FREE Academic Planner, complete set of Study Skills videos, and Leslie’s How To Do It Now book.
